Marcus & Kimberly – The Wedding – Estevan Wedding Photographer

Kimberly and Marcus were married in Estevan on June 9 (see their engagement session here) and I was honored to be a part of their big day.  I went to high school with Kim’s sister, Melody (see Mel’s wedding here) and so I have known Kim for quite a while!  And as I wrote on Kim & Marcus’ engagement session post, Marcus and I used to work together at A&W when we were in high school!  The weather was threatening us all day on Saturday, but I had promised Kim that it would not rain and sure enough, we made it through all of our outdoor formal portraits without getting rained on!  Kim & Marcus are so cute together, and the wedding party as a whole was so fun to work with.  Here is a glimpse at Kim & Marcus’ special day.

Evan, Krystal & Family – Regina Family Portrait Photographer

Fellow photographer and friend, Krystal, messaged me months ago about the possibility of a session the next time I was in Regina.  I have known Krystal and her husband Evan for quite a few years now, but since we have lived in different cities for so long, I had never met their kids before!  Krystal’s baby Atticus and my son Isaac were actually born on the exact same day, December 26!  I had a lot of fun hanging out with Evan and Krystal and their sweet little family.  Enjoy!

Crystal and Kevin – Engagement – Regina Engagement Photographer

I have known Crystal for several years now and I was so excited when I found out that she was engaged!  I was in Saskatchewan a couple of weeks ago and was going into Regina one day for another session (coming soon!).  I was thrilled when I got a message from Crystal asking if I would be able to do her engagement photos that day too!  It was awesome to spend a beautiful evening with Crystal and her soon-to-be husband, whom I had only met one time before.  Crystal and Kevin are so sweet with one another and were so fun to photograph!

Crystal & Kevin – I truly wish you the best!  Thanks for spending the evening with me!  I am so happy for you both!

Jenn, John & Sebastian – Calgary Family Photographer

A couple of Saturdays ago I met Jenn, John and little Sebastian at Edworthy Park for a gorgeous fall session.  I love fall!  It is my most favourite season: the colours, the leaves, wearing layers, scarves and cute hats.  A baby session in the fall is an even sweeter deal, just try and resist Sebastian’s cute little face with the autumn leaves behind him!  Sebastian was a perfect little model, happy and smiley, didn’t fuss once!  I seriously love so many of the images from this session, it was so difficult to choose which ones to blog!  Thank you Jenn, John, and Sebastian for spending the afternoon with me!  It was great to see you again! (This is how Sebastian looked the last time I photographed him!)

Ricardo & Colleen – Regina Wedding Photographer

Colleen & Ricardo met when Colleen left her home in Regina, SK, to go to Peru to work on a community development project.  They were neighbours and ended up working on the same project together.  They had no idea what would transpire between them and how their lives would change!  Ricardo told the story best at the reception, but to make a long story short, one year after Colleen & Ricardo met, they were married in Peru.  In Colleen’s words, “we just couldn’t wait another day!”.  I was fortunate to be a part of their Canadian wedding, over a year after their Peruvian wedding.  As I was photographing these two I was taken aback by the love that is still bursting between the two of them.  They were so natural, so happy, and so smitten with one another, which of course, you will see in the images from their special day in Canada.

Because we were doing the formal photos before the ceremony, we set up a “first look” for Colleen and Ricardo on the balcony of the Conexus Centre of the Arts.  I love when couples have a first look, it is always such a special, private moment between the Bride and Groom.

After the first look, we went to a few different places in Regina for photos.  These two made my job easy!

We headed back to the Conexus Centre of the Arts for the wedding ceremony, which flowed seamlessly into the wedding reception.

I was able to steal Colleen & Ricardo away for photos in some beautiful light before the sunset.

Thanks for having me be a part of y our day, Colleen and Ricardo!  It was an honor and I wish you all the best!
